Fashion Is a Verb exhibit at F I T celebrates 50 years
A free exhibit at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York runs Feb 14 to April 29 in The Museum at FIT. It links art design fashion tech and business showing Donna Karan using neoprene for a high fashion dress and Patagonia turning it into a diving wetsuit. Andy Warhol and Joe Otterson works appear alongside a fragrance display and courses info via a computer program. It marks FIT’s first 50 years with interactive displays and visual history.

The 36th Annual Aldo Awards for men's fashion journalism were presented in Las Vegas. The ceremony, sponsored by JCPenney and staged at the Sahara Hotel with a spring preview, honored writers from The Frederick News-Post and other outlets. Rose Mary Budge received the Golden Aldo for career achievement. awards date back to 1960 and were renamed in 1987 for Aldo Cipullo.
