Man Sentenced To 18 Years For Auto Larceny Pattern

Brannan, age 26, convicted of auto larceny, received an 18 year term after judges cited a pattern of offenses since age 14. State's Attorney noted prior convictions, and the defendant said he feared returning the car. In a separate breaking and entering case against Leroy Wetzel, the court did not render a decision as prosecutors failed to prove goods valued at 100 or more or intent to steal. Wetzel was found entering via a window as police nabbed him. Judge Schnauffer takes the case under advisement amid similar recent defenses.
