Two more Democrats announce to seek reelection to second four year terms. William M. Houck, noted for pushing to abolish the 50 cent state park admittance fee, seeks another term as Delegate. Mrs. Ruby V. Hahn seeks reelection to the Democratic State Central Committee and has held multiple party roles in Maryland. The 28 million dollar park budget is part of a larger ten year plan proposed by a state commission on park development. Two 20-year-old women charged in a worthless check ring with amounts up to 800 dollars failed to appear for a magistrate court preliminary hearing. Bonds totaling 9,500 dollars were posted. bondsman Glenn Crum was given until March to locate them. An Associated Press report noted some counties issue license tags at the County Treasurer's office, but Frederick County does not. Residents must mail for tags through the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles in Baltimore or use local licensing agencies. The Treasurer's office lacks the staff and facilities to issue tags locally. Also, Norm Cash signed a Tigers contract in Lakeland, Florida for about 29,000 with VP Rick Ferrell. he earned 13,000 last season after a .261 average with 41 homers.

A Pennsylvania youth Bar on L Limone 18 of RFD J Mechanicsburg was convicted in Magistrate Court for carrying a concealed weapon a 45 caliber automatic pistol not loaded. He received a suspended sentence and was sent to a state hospital before custody by Carlisle police. Two men were also convicted of public intoxication with $25 suspended fines for George Eichelberger and William Snowden.
