Emmitsburg Chamber Discusses Education and By Pass Route
The Emmitsburg Chamber of Commerce met at the Fire Hall with President Curtis Becker presiding. They planned to send letters to Frederick County Education and the County Commission voicing opposition to a proposed by pass around Route 15 and argued for adding a third year to the local high school curriculum. A committee reported on plans discussed with the State Roads Commission in Baltimore and other local community events and memorials were noted.
