Most Of Soviet Members Under 50

More than 70 per cent of the Soviet Communist party's present members are under 50, according to figures from the 30th party congress cited by William Ulryan. The party has 6,795,86 full members and 419,408 candidate members, totaling 7,215,505, ruling a nation of 200 million. The rise since four years ago is small, while candidate members fell by 450,000, signaling tougher entry to full membership and privileges.
