A dense listing of church notices across All Saints and nearby parishes. Includes rectors, service times for Holy Communion, worship, Sunday schools, Lenten services, sermons, and special events at Holy Communion, St. Luke, Calvary, Grace, Trinity, First Baptist, and numerous Lutheran, Evangelical, and Presbyterian churches with dates, times, and speakers.
The Sunday school lesson for February 27 by WM. E. Gilroy discusses the Gadara demoniac, Jesus casting out the unclean spirit, and the market’s reaction to the loss of swine. It asks what truly measures a man, contrasting profit motives with human life and dignity, supported by church notices from St. Mark's Lutheran Sabillasville and nearby charges, and a Urbana W C T U meeting recap.
The Bethel service featured scripture reading and prayer followed by recitations and performances. Eugene Wachter sang a vocal duet. Edith and Ella Ramscher played a piano solo. Madeline Lenhart and Hattie Michiel performed vocal duets and recitations. Evelyn Hooper read, Mrs James Wachter led a quartet. A G Hooper and Chester Clem sang solos. closing with Walking In The King's Highway.
The Woodsboro Women's Club celebrated its fifteenth anniversary with 50 attendees at Mrs. W C LeGore's home, featuring a husband arranged program of music talks and a quiz led by W C LeGore. Prizes went to Mrs. Elmer Smith and a tie between Mrs. Chas Hahn and Mrs. Ernest Fogle. The Libertytown Women's Club met with Mrs. O B Stone presiding, hearing color demonstrations and a reading on A Perfect Tribute, fourteen members one guest and Miss Florence Williams attended. Next meetings set for March 8 and March 9 respectively.
Rev F R Seibel to rededicate the newly decorated auditorium at 10 45 a m Sunday with guest preacher Rev Amos J Traver of Frederick. Choir will sing Let Us Go into The House of The Lord. Improvements include caulking weatherproofing painting ceilings floors and school annex. Glen Nikirk Company did the work funded by the Ladies Working Society.

The regular meeting of the Lees Class of the Woodshare Star was held at Ophelia Donsife’s home on Tuesday evening February 22. Sythe s led singing America the Beautiful, and a short business session followed. Next meeting set for March at the home of Ittinger. Recreation by Catharine Singer. Refreshments by the hostess. Attendees included L Strine, Bernadine Douglas, Romaine Krise, Mary Elizabeth Reddick, Catharine Singer, Patsy Grove, Mrs Blanche Donsife, Mrs Mildred Crum, Patsy Crum, Buddy and Bobby Donsife.
In Sam's Creek on February 25 Mr and Mrs Sterling Craumer hosted supper at Mr and Mrs Harry Craumer’s home in New Windsor. Clyde Warner and daughter Catherine visited Catherine Sherfey’s parents Paul and Mrs Sherfey. Vivian and Margaret Jinn Alexander of Edgewood visited their cousin Sirriam Schneider. Georgeier and Norman Heiner households welcomed guests Nancy Heiner. Sterling Cranmer toured with Clyde Warner group along with Mrs Leighton Schneider and children visited Mrs James Schneider in MecKinstry's. Mrs William Borland and Mrs Ira Smith visited Charles Greenholtz’s sister who remains weak. Hoops Mill hosted Mr and Mrs James Crebbs and family. Howard Wilt and family spent an evening with George Miller.
February items report visits between Mr and Mrs George Devilbiss and Mrs Harold Myers at Westminster. Mrs Devilbiss is James Warren's niece who has been ill. Marshall Sprague injured by a circular saw while logging near Gettysburg, hand amputated at Annie M Warner hospital and may stay a week. A quilt show featured quilts over a century old and modern pieces. Mrs W A Herpich is recovering from grippe and throat infection. The daughter of Mr and Mrs Russell Quessaberry is mentioned.
