In Santo Domingo on February 25 AP reports a revolutionary movement in the north and local turmoil. President Horatio Vásquez and Vice President José de Alfonseca hide at the fort, Madame Vásquez seeks refuge in the American legation, and Curtis in Washington mediates peace as the assembly weighs Alfonseca’s resignation.
A seven passenger Buick sedan owned by F. W. Magruder of Winchester Virginia overturned on a wet road near West Friendship around 10 AM Monday. The car plunged down a 15 foot embankment but all passengers were believed unhurt and continued to Baltimore after the mishap. The vehicle was taken to Frederick for repairs. The accident was attributed to poor road conditions and a crowd gathered at the scene. Magruder notified Ideal Garage to retrieve the damaged automobile.
John W. Hofman, 74, of Smithsburg, died at Washington County Hospital from blood poisoning after cutting his thumb while helping his groom butcher hogs. He bled at home, received remedies, then was hospitalized for four days before death in Hagerstown on February 25.
James H. Gambrill Sr marked his 100th birthday with an early breakfast and quiet rest after a day of visiting dignitaries and well wishers. Relatives and numerous names from Baltimore Philadelphia and Westminster signed a ceremonial register honoring the centenarian.

A four year old boy, son of Mr and Mrs Reverdy Beard of West Fifth street near Bent, fell from the rear of Leonard Wachter’s grocery truck on West Fifth street around 10:30 this morning. He sustained cuts on the face and knees and was taken home by his parents after onlookers aided at the scene. The driver Austin Main continued unaware until returning to the Wachter store after a passerby informed him. Residents warn children ride on rear bumpers are perilous and rear parking should be kept clear to prevent such accidents.
Judge Roger B. Peter selected jurors for the March term of the Circuit Court to convene March 17 in Montgomery County. The list names jurors from Talbott, Bethesda, Olney, Gaithersburg, Potomac and other towns, with multiple districts represented and a foreman to be chosen.

George Cummings was arrested Monday night after a knife drawn and a stabbing incident near Sixth Street in HKiehart's Alley. Carrie Dorser, a colored woman, was slashed and required medical attention. officers Schell, Gray, and Nagle responded. Cummings faces Police Court tonight. another suspect, Joan Harper, faces drunken and disorderly charges from Five and One-half Street.
A break in occurred Monday at Mas Gabaz Emmicssie hall on the second floor of the Company building. A thief rifled papers and left items missing. A stranger unable to account for himself was arrested after battering entry with a tool. Deputy Angelsberger held for questioning.

Husband Lawrence Edgington, 20, said he last saw her alive about 6 p.m. yesterday and found the body when he returned from night work. His sister Ruth Edgington, 18, was visiting at the time.
A prohibition raid on a home near Tulsa, Oklahoma left one man dead and a guest from Crystal City, Illinois, Lawrence Morgan, severely wounded. The raid targeted alleged bootleggers identified as Redding and Morgan, with gunfire reported as agents moved in. The incident occurred in the Reci je residence, details remaining unclear due to the damaged report.
London Feb 25 AP A spokesman for the American delegation said the Or power conference may recess until France forms a government and can send a delegation to London. Prices for eggs and wheat fell with eggs at about 25 to 35 cents a dozen and fresh country eggs at 35 cents or less. wheat quoted at 9 cents, the first time in years it dipped below a dollar.
Arguments on the motion for a new trial for Lester Clarke and Charles Lewis, convicted of the murder of Deputy L. Hauver of Frederick during a raid on Blue Ridge, will be heard in circuit court here Tuesday morning. Judge Frank G. Wagaman noted affidavits filed by defense and State Attorneys. Clarke faced 15 years, while Lewis received a life sentence in Maryland.

An interesting Frederick Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution meeting was chaired by vice regent Mrs Richard S J Dutrow. Reports covered the Key hotel card party proceeds for a Thomas Johnson tablet, rooming talks at Winchester Hall, Kenmore land purchase, and D A R reforestation funds. Delegates to the Baltimore state meeting were named and Valley Forge and Sulgrave Manor papers discussed. Refreshments followed at the host’s residence.
Local Rotarians plan a listen in luncheon to mark Rotary International's 25th anniversary. Ambassadors and ministers from 44 countries attend. Eugene Wexson of North Carolina is to speak. United Service Band and Marines provide music. Prof Ignatius Byoriee also listed among participants.
Two African American youths, Robert Jeffries and Robert Alexander, jailed in Frederick after thefts valued at 700 dollars from two houses on Dit Avenue. Most loot recovered. some found in pawn shops in Washington and Alexandria. Grand jury unlikely to be recalled.
The airways division of the Department of Commerce begins three beacon towers for the Washington to Cleveland air mail route. Builders in Braddock Heights finished a 109 foot beacon tower near the dancing pavilion. Completion expected in about thirty days with additional beacons planned one mile south of Brattstown and three miles west of Myersville.
Washington February 25 The AP reports physicians at the White House bulletin that former Chief Justice Taft has shown improvement for several days but there is no cause for immediate alarm. The bulletin signed by Drs Thomas A Clayter and Fran R Hagner notes he has shown improvement and there is no immediate danger.

Charles Cramer pleaded guilty to non support in a morning People's Court session brought by his wife for herself and three children. The defendant blamed unemployment linked to drunkenness, with his sister Charles Elworthy helping the children. Justice Alton Bennett kept the case open to allow Cramer to seek work. New York AP report says Richard 3. Jones, former assistant sales manager of Tidewater Oil Corp of New Jersey, died after a fall from his eighth floor Park Avenue apartment. Police ruled death a suicide, noting Jones struck his wife with an electric lamp before leaping. He was 35, Annapolis graduate, served in the Army and Navy, and worked as a naval engineer.
