Meters Bring About $480 Weekly to Frederick City
Frederick’s parking meters continue to net about $480 weekly for the city treasury, though revenue has faded since meters on West Patrick Street’s first block were removed two years ago. If trends hold, by end of 1949 total gross from installation in October 1948 could reach about $200,000 unless unforeseen changes occur. The city may consider halting meters on parts of North Market Street east side and West Patrick Street south side per a traffic report recommendation.
