Dies On Eve Of Retirement As Conductor
Aliwee LL Stottlemyer of Baltimore, veteran Baltimore and Ohio Railroad conductor, died in sleep from a heart attack in Brunswick just before his planned retirement at age 69. Known for long service on Washington to Brunswick and Washington to Baltimore runs, he was hospitalized after failing to awaken for the 6:30 a.m. Washington-bound trip. The Frederick County medical examiner ruled death due to heart attack. he would have turned 70 on May 1. He began with the BAC and joined the Baltimore division in 1900, planning retirement on March 1.
