More Land Added To Ald. Forest Reserves 21

Maryland increases forest reserves by 1,900 acres since fall 1936, reaching 61,755 acres in forests and parks but far from the 200,000 acre goal set by State Forester. Lack of funds limits acquisitions, though $15,000 was spent recently to add small tracts, while the aim remains to demonstrate conservation to private landowners. Maryland's 2,230,000 acres of forest land face continued harvest above growth, with production at a low, per forester. Swastika Class meeting notes follow, including Valentine games and planned March 15 gathering at Mrs. Hahn's home.
