Members of Pleasant View Church of the Brethren in Burkittsville joined 1100 Brethren churches in a February 14 prayer vigil for the Witness for Christ Lent to Pentecost crusade. The event included a half hour solitary prayer and featured church leaders Wayne Guyton Thomas Moser Sara Bowlus Merilyn Moser Sylvester Guyton Evelyn Sowers Rev Lester E Fike. Holy Week services planned by Rev Fike with weekly cottage prayers and Sunday evening services. The two year emphasis honors the Brethren founding in 1708 and Germantown establishment in 1723.
