State City In Accord On Traffic Routes
State and Frederick city officials reached an accord on six proposed alternate traffic routes to ease downtown congestion. A joint survey by state and city engineers and officials reviewed routes designed to allow through traffic while bypassing congested areas. Findings will go to the Board of Aldermen by March 3 with an interim plan ahead of a mid spring state survey. Also noted were possible changes on double parking and loading zones in the business district. Robert P Lamont, former Commerce Secretary under Hoover, died in New York at 8 Feb.
