Adams Express suit settled with Clapp Spooner in court

The Adams Express Company and Clapp Spooner ex president reached a settlement in the Superior Court here yesterday. In Gape May a colored man named Pearce was arrested for the murder of his wife after an alleged assault and throat slashing. He is held in the county jail as authorities guard against mob action.
