Super Walkers to Walk Kilometers for Birth Defects Fight
The April 27 Super Walk will cover 30 kilometers to support birth defect prevention. Registration cards are available via March of Dimes outreach, local stores, malls, and schools. Check-in begins 7 a.m. at Frederick Shopping Center with the walk starting at 8 a.m. Co-chairs Richard Basford and Eric Arnold note enhanced safety, emergency transport, and facilities.

The American Cancer Society Frederick County Unit plans a Daffodil Day on March 27 with more than 12,000 freshly cut daffodils shipped from the West Coast to Frederick County. Johns Hopkins Obesity Course Set For March Week
Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions will host a five day course titled Nutritional and Psychological Treatment of Obesity from March 3 to 7 in Turner Auditorium. Experts from nutrition, social science, psychology, behavior, and physiology will share current research. while aimed at health professionals it is open to laymen with continuing education credits.
