Sign of John Brown to adorn museum display in Maryland
The Civil War museum will showcase a John Brown sign later this month before it travels to the Antietam Gallery. The life sized portrait, painted in green and gold from a life portrait of Brown on trial, depicts his beard and piercing eyes. The Kennedy farmhouse in Montgomery County houses the sign, carved by Bruce Carr for £2000 with help from Sprigg Lynn and son.
