Bill to create commission for Maryland education reform
A measure by Mr. Straus proposes a one year commission to study and reform Maryland public and normal education. It would review school administration, remove political influence, and draft a bill for the 1944 General Assembly. Notables from Johns Hopkins and state leaders would serve, with strong calls for improved teacher training and a restructured State Normal School.
