A 25 year old Union Bridge man Orville Cla baugh was killed when his Buick skidded on a wet spot near the Johnsville schoolhouse struck a telephone pole and a tree. Passenger Thomas Wilson of Union Bridge was injured and hospitals. Authorities said death was instantaneous and the investigation continued.

Damaged cars in early Friday collision on West South Street

Strikers and Company Clash Over Price Freeze Question
In Boston on February 17 the 70,000 CIO wool and worsted mill workers strike over a 15 cent an hour raise heatedly debated the price freeze. James J.
