Daryl Routzahn, president of Routzahn & Sons Inc, announced the Francis Scott Key Mall location will close by month end. The store will shut today and Wednesday to prepare, then reopen Thursday. The 10 year lease ends soon and Crown American, owner of the mall, urged a closing for expansion. An alternate site was offered but deemed too small.

Snow storm blankets county deters few on slushy roads
Motorists braved the winter storm as snow turned to rain in many areas and a snow emergency was in effect since 5 30 am. Three inches had fallen at the Maryland State Police barracks by 8 30 am while temperatures hovered around 32 0.
