Frederick County considers three community development grant projects
Frederick County Commissioners chose three potential community development block grant projects including relocating homes slated for demolition creating affordable for sale housing and funding a homesharing coordinator Alice Cooper housing and community development coordinator presented the ideas at a public hearing Feb 7 and noted an March 16 deadline for flock grant program applications with a maximum 500000 while project costs run about 428000 Salvaging 10 houses at 20000 each and creating 10 affordable homes at 200000 total and a 28000 cost for a homesharing coordinator were outlined plus consideration of additional list projects by the county housing office and the Frederick County Housing Trust
