One-Year-Old Boy Seriously Hurt In Auto Mishap
Hagerstown incident on South Mountain involved 18-year-old Pennington Lewis and driver Charles Eaton as their car left the road after a truck with bright lights approached on the wrong side. Lewis suffered skull and arm fractures with facial lacerations. Eaton was uninjured. The car overturned. Eaton helped Lewis to arise and both from North Market street stood by as a passing motorist assisted. Lewis was taken to Frederick City Hospital in serious condition. The truck fled the scene.
