Bandit Kills One Then Kills Self in Salt Lake City
In Salt Lake City's business district last night a pistol fight left two dead and three wounded. Lee, described as cool and deliberate, killed one officer and wounded another before turning the gun on his female companion and shooting himself. Patrolman Nolan W. Luntsman died instantly. Patrolman Jiuney was shot. Beatrice Hater of San Francisco was wounded but may recover. Lee died today. Hunter, from Ogden, unable to speak, wrote that Lee was a parole violator from San Quentin and provided no statement about the shooting.
