Miss Brierton and Sgt Kline Wed in Great Lakes Ceremony
Miss Mary Ann Brierton and Sgt Samuel Hays Kline united in marriage on February 4 at All Faiths Chapel Great Lakes Hospital Great Lakes Illinois. The Rev Daniel Finn officiated the double ring ceremony with Lt Col and Mrs Thomas Brierton of San Diego and Mr and Mrs S Hayes Kline Jr as parents. The bride wore a white A line brocade gown and illusion mantilla and carried white carnations. Maid of honor Susan Zumbran and bridesmaid Kathy Brierton wore pale blue and pink gowns with lace mantillas. Best man Sgt Manuel Lopez and ushers Sgt William Mattison and Ronald Bachon assisted. A reception followed at Crest Room Great Lakes Naval Hospital. The couple plans a wedding trip to Frederick and will reside in Waukegan Illinois. The bride attended James Madison High School and Grossmont Jr College and works as a ward clerk at Great Lakes Naval Hospital. The groom is a U S Marine Corps member since 1964 and is stationed at Great Lakes Naval.

She cited the Cedars of Lebanon from Syria placed in Arlington Cemetery as a gift from the American University of Beirut to honor Near East Relief aid. She noted the oldest living thing is a 4000 year old Bald.

The Junior Women’s Club of Rockville plans a vacation auction on February 17 at Aspen Hill Road to fund the Boys Home of Montgomery County. About 40 trips from Maine to Mexico and the Bahamas are listed, including stays at Outrigger Motor Hotel in Ocean City and Seacrest Inn in Bimini. Proceeds support the Santa Maris Del Tule Boys Home project.
