Ice mass drifts down Potomac
A massive ice iceberg in the Potomac River drifted down river late Tuesday night into Wednesday. Local resident Newton Burkhart noted a two hour rise of about four inches and predicted the crest would stay near 20 feet at Brunswick with little chance of further flooding. Roads, including Md 26 at Israel's Creek, reopened by mid morning. Sunny, breezy with mid 30s highs expected this weekend.
