84th Anniversary Of Blizzard Shaped Frederick News
A long account recalls the brutal 1895 blizzard and a later 1899 event in Frederick. It names clergy from St John’s Catholic and Advent Saints Episcopal churches, notes attendance, service changes, and the impact on daily life. Local figures like Rev Osborne Ingle, Rev Edmund Buschbach, and Rev T Freeman Dizon are mentioned along with community efforts to aid the hungry and cold. The piece preserves memories of George Gambrill State Park naming, the Myers family, and Robert A Kemp, linking past storms to local history.
