Roscoe B. Rhoads Dies At Age 77
Roscoe Bentz Rhoads of Leesburg Virginia died Wednesday evening at Leesburg Hospital after a long illness. Born January 15, 1894 in Frederick he was son of Shaffer L. and Harriet Englebrecht Rhoads. A WWI veteran he helped found Peoples Drug Stores in Frederick and later moved to Leesburg in 1930 joining an auto agency. He served as Leesburg town clerk and hospital administrator from 1949 until retirement about five years earlier. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
