William H Koontz a 73 year old Frederick resident subjects a living room to a “papered” wall display of 20 000 to 25 000 buttons sewn to cardboard panels. The Brigadoon area native collects buttons from across the U S and asks readers to send more to expand his unique hobby.

Mrs Myers to Receive Moose Degree in Illinois Trip
Mrs Mary Louise Myers of North Market Street will travel to Mooseheart Illinois in June to receive a College of Regents degree from the Women of the Moose for outstanding service as a Moose auxiliary officer. She served as senior regent of Frederick Chapter 347 in 1962 and 1963 and now chairs the Academy of Friendship fundraising to support local activities and travel expenses.
