U.S. says Bosnia's Muslims must accept deal

The United States tells allies Bosnia's Muslim-led government will likely accept only a fraction of prewar territory but deserves concessions in Geneva talks. Envoys Tarnoff and Redman outlined a stance in Bonn, London, and Paris, resisting pressure from France and others for harsher terms. Officials cite access to central Bosnia industrial centers, an Adriatic port, and the Sava river for maritime commerce as key concessions, not new territory. Economic sanctions on Serbia could ease gradually if a settlement is reached.
