Homemakers Annual Meeting Draws 1000 Members to Hood College
The Frederick County Homemakers' Clubs will hold their annual meeting March 1 on Hood College campus with a 10 a.m. business session in Brodbeck Hall and a 1:45 p.m. program in the college chapel. Officers to be elected are vice-president Mrs. George Chick and secretary Mrs. David H. Yinger Sr. A luncheon follows at noon in Coblentz Hall. Dr. John Carnachan will speak on education for the future in Frederick County. Snowy Day Accidents Reported in Frederick and Middletown
Three collisions were reported since noon Monday with snow contributing to two. In Frederick, Carlos Andrews’ 1961 Buick and Atlee Kinna’s 1956 Chevrolet collided on East Fourth Street at 6:48 am. minor damages noted. Another crash on East Street involved Wayne Nusbaum in a 1954 Oldsmobile with $10 damages to a swing frame. A third mishap on East Third Street near Middle Alley involved Lester Wiles and Joseph Fogle Jr. with damages totaling $125. Middletown police and state police handled the inquiries.

James Robert Wilson escaped Monday from O'Neal Prison Camp. Officers tracked him with two bloodhounds. One dog was hit by a car and removed from the chase. A posse followed the second dog's tracks as they met and then ran parallel with Wilson. Wilson helped train the dogs. Hunt continues.
