Decision Reversed In Warehouse Labor Case At Adams County
Frank T Geisbert appealed a decision by Judge Eckstein in a dispute with Adamstown Packing Company over pay losses after discharge. Geisbert, who earned 25 a week during canning, worked at the factory until last summer when he was notified he was not needed. He found work with Frederick Railroad Company at 1.50 per day and later sued for the balance of wages. The jury awarded 59.50. The trial also covered a separate damages claim from Rufus Snarr over a traction engine scare that allegedly caused his horse to be killed in Middletown.
