Fire destroys most of Littleton town in West Virginia

A devastating blaze in Littleton, an oil town near Martinsville, West Virginia, destroyed about 100 to 160 houses and left 150 families homeless. The fire started in the center of town near the Baltimore and Ohio tracks, spread rapidly in winds, and dynamite was used in a failed attempt to stop it.
