Rockville Germantown Man Convicted on Rape and Burglaries
A Germantown man was convicted in Rockville circuit court on multiple charges including attempted first degree rape and attempted burglary after juries found him guilty in two trials. In a separate case, Curtis Ring faced a third trial set for April 9 on additional counts of attempted first degree rape kidnapping first degree assault and other offenses involving a violent incident tied to a red and white pickup truck. The defendant faces life or extended terms, with sentencing scheduled for the first two convictions in April. Ring was arrested after two June attacks on women, with police later uncovering a taser and a kidnapping bag at his home. He remains in custody awaiting further proceedings.
