Health Systems Agency seeks exemption from moratorium
The Health Systems Agency of Western Maryland urged an exemption from a state moratorium on certificates of need for new nursing home and hospital beds. It seeks to include replacement projects for existing domiciliary care facilities like Frederick County's new indigent home, arguing such projects aid affordable care and avoid delaying essential services. The letter targets state health officials and legislative committees.
