Dr. Ernest F Poole Dies in Hagerstown
Funeral services for Dr Ernest F Poole former president of the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland were set for 2 p m Monday. Poole who practiced medicine in Washington County for 39 years died Saturday at Washington County Hospital after a long illness at age 66. He is survived by his widow Catherine Everly Poole. The Zion United Church of Christ will host the service and he will be buried in Hose Hill Cemetery.
Police Hold Walking Man As Car Driver Charged
A Washington man, Benjamin F. Quinn, is charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident after being arrested while walking in Frederick early Saturday. State Police say Quinn was driving north on U.S. 15 and failed to stop for a red light, hitting a cement road divider.

Man Arrested After Hit and Run Incidents in Frederick
State police responded to a scene where road signs were knocked over and an abandoned car was found. Five minutes later Cpl. Robert Snyder located Quinn walking on Madison Street and Trooper Gordon H. Smith filed the charge. Police also charged Gerald I. Mills, 93, with driving without a license after his car overturned on U.S. 40 following an icy spot.
