Mayor Ronald N Young stated the South Market project is now slated for spring 1976 due to the street improvement work, while he projected the underground Paris 3 project would finish by fall. He cited Palomac Edeon Compas and other agencies as reasons for delays in the original plan.

The Maryland Public Service Commission ordered an independent probe into how fuel rate adjustment charges are calculated by Potomac Edison and two other Maryland utilities. The move follows a petition by PSC People’s Counsel Gary Alexander seeking a halt to the charges pending a full procedure revision. PEPCO will not be included as it undergoes a separate DC PSC study. The commission has issued bids from accounting firms, with bids due February 28.
