Grand Jury Fails To Indict Motherwell In Maryland Death Case
Frederick County grand jury reported no presentment against Larry Lord Motherwell in the 1954 death of his 14 month old daughter Heather after a one day session. Prosecutor Edwin F. Nikirk said no charges beyond a possible misdemeanor were viable due to lack of evidence and statutes of limitations. Motherwell, 42, was released from Frederick jail amid statements of no remaining charges in Maryland while Washington authorities could pursue other actions.
