Clinton honors Dr Kristen Zarfos during State of the Union
Dr Kristen Zarfos, a Middletown surgeon, was recognized by President Clinton in the State of the Union for her fight to require coverage for mastectomies. Her parents Lewse and Ted Zarfos cried with pride as they watched the address, recalling her hard work from August against an HMO denial and her progression from Hood College to the University of Maryland Medical School and Yale residency.
