Accidents Mark Snow and Fog on Regional Highways
A string of Saturday night crashes on icy roads caused traffic delays and injuries across the region. Multiple vehicles skidded on U S routes near Lee's Diner and the Sandy Hook bridge, with two men and several residents hospitalized. A later Sunday crash on Md 27 and further incidents near Thurmont and Thurmont’s Md 77 area added to the weather related toll. Highways drew crowds Sunday as fog and springlike weather spurred travel.
