Frederick United Fund Drive Forming In Frederick
February meeting set at the Francis Scott Key Hotel to form a county wide United Fund. The Red Cross may join, joining the Community Chest agencies to create Frederick's first formal United Fund. Local Jaycees and Civic groups pushed the drive after surveying 19 agencies. A fire at a Farm near Fountain Mills prompted a quick response by New Market volunteers. Frederick leaders plan to unify Health and Welfare fundraising under one umbrella.
