Tombstone found at depot marks long‑ago Alabama accident
In 1926 Burt Jr. died after falling from a vehicle in West Blouton Alabama. Last week a tombstone ordered by the boy’s family was found by an Illinois Central Gulf lineman at an abandoned Centreville depot. The marker, found in a plain wooden box with no freight bill, surprised relatives who say another stone now marks the Scottsville cemetery grave.
