Citizens turn guns against crime in separate incidents

Across Georgia and Connecticut citizens used firearms to stop thefts and burglaries. A Georgia man shot a 14 year old alleged burglar in the head after discovering a rear window open. In New Haven Connecticut a husband wife pair fired on three robbers at a grocery store, one robber wounded. In Highland Park Michigan a 78 year old woman killed a teenager who tried to enter her home after shouting Stop or I shoot. In DeKalb County a man beat two youths with a gun, one bullet lodged in a youth's head and left in critical condition. The incidents reflect a nationwide debate on armed citizens and self defense.
