Outlook for 1944 Economic and War Posture Forecast
A 1944 forecast blends wartime and economic views. It anticipates a split year with Germany's collapse early or late, modest stock and bond steadiness, wage pressures and wage hikes, and retail gains despite lower physical volumes. It stresses continued war production, reconversion planning, and a civilizational choice between spiritual values and materialism, urging research and religion to shape a better postwar era.
