Four Weekend Fire Calls In Frederick County
Fire crews battled four weekend blazes in Frederick County involving chimney and field fires. A chimney fire at A A Young residence in Yellow Springs caused no injuries or major damage, while a field burn on Biggs Ford Road was reportedly managed by the landowner. A second chimney fire at Wilkins residence near Md 26 near Ebert’s Ice Cream plant was quickly controlled with no damage. Another woods fire on Old Annapolis road near Md 26 was extinguished after a brief effort. no injuries reported. Sheriff reports a separate shooting incident not directly connected to the fires.
