Traffic Toll In State 493 After Christmas Fatalities
Three Baltimore deaths and a fatality in Talbot County marked Maryland's grim Christmas toll, pushing the 1935 year total to 493 with a drastic post holiday spike. Police tracked a hit and run, a signal-pole crash, and a tractor-trailer collision as the morning's deadly incidents. The Talbot County wreck involved Foster and Harris found dead near a stalled car, with driver Bryan later implicated in the fatal embankment collision. The comptroller announced a January review of employer tax lists to chase delinquent taxpayers dating back to 1987, promising enforcement and penalties.
