Rolling Knoll Dairy Farm Story From Maryland News
A feature on Rolling Knoll farm owned by Grover and Ralph Walker traces its 70 plus years of dairy history from Nathan Walker’s early cream shipments to Riesinger Bakery to the modern Holstein breeding program. The piece notes 410 acres near Canthersburg, 700 year Washington market ties, and the family’s shift from hand milking to modern milking houses, with 1920s paving, 4H involvement, and perennial prize cows highlighted.
