Mrs Belle McDonald a 3 year old colored visitor from Pittsburgh was shot twice in the heart and killed by Samuel Myers Jr 24 son of Rev Samuel Myers in Shippensburg Pennsylvania. Myers shot the woman then killed himself after expressing he loved her and that she should not return home.
Sealskin is praised for its softness and glossiness, while dandruff is blamed on a parasite harming hair roots. Newbro's Herpicide is presented as the only product fatal to the dandruff germ, preventing hair loss and promoting glossy hair. The ad claims millions owe their hair health to Herpicide and lists Detroit and J A Williamson as agent contacts.
Hayden Watrous of Mystic drove a wagon with his five children begging for food as they rode for six days. The 3 year old was near death from hunger and exposure as Watrous was pursued by his brother before being subdued, bound, and returned home with the children in danger.
The three masted Sakata of Parshoro Nova Scotia wrecked with at least seven crewmen drowned. Only mate John Williams of St Johns New Brunswick survives after four days without food or water. Captain Lermond of the Helen Thomas reported the loss and rescued Williams.

Albany December 27 Mrs Alfred of 5815 Central avenue claims she birthed a three day old daughter 116 days after delivering a son. Doctor George T Moston attested to her account though no physician attended the first birth. The parents are slighty over twenty and the tale surprised relatives and the attending nurse.
