Storage Tips for Lay-Up Your Car During War Time

Experts caution that storage may harm a car more than it helps. If laying up is necessary, ensure the car is mechanically sound, washed, waxed, lubricated, and stored in a dry heated building. Drain fuel and cooling systems, protect rubber and wiring, detach the battery for charging, and keep tires deflated in a cool place while the engine is sealed against pests and dust. Check insurance to possibly suspend collision coverage.
