New Commander Delmore Brings Wide Experience to Camp Detrick
Colonel Fred J. Delmore receives command at Camp Detrick after a career in the Army Chemical Corps and chemistry. Born June 12 1905 in Wilkes-Barre Pa he holds degrees from Holy Cross and has taught chemistry at Seton Hall. His service includes Edgewood Center Pacific duty and leading the 72nd Chemical Warfare Battalion. He became full colonel July 1 1930 and is married with three daughters. His lifelong hobby is sports and he helped form the Little Baseball League for boys aged 8 to 12 with their own championship.

Henry K C Fox a prominent retired businessman of the city died suddenly at his Elm street home after attending a Christmas party the prior evening. A heart attack caused his death. Born 1875 he built a hardware plumbing and roofing business at East Patrick street for 33 years, later retiring in 1932. Survived by wife Lizzie E Hopwood, a brother Calvin O C Fox of Baltimore, a niece and two nephews. Funeral services will be held at the East Patrick street funeral home with interment Mt Olivet.
