Death of James Brengie in Philadelphia
James Brengie, former Frederick broker and son of the late Lawrence J. Brangie, died in Philadelphia after stomach trouble. He was about 72 and leaves two daughters and one son. Pardon granted for Elmer McBee. he had been convicted of larceny in February 1903 and sentenced to 18 months, with suspension of sentence. A committee in Baltimore plans a Civil War monument for Union soldiers. Market prices today: bacon 2.00 per barrel, shelled 45 cents per bushel. No 3 red wheat 79 3/4 cents per bushel, damaged grade 60 cents. oats 30 cents per bushel.
