Anxious town issues and Santa Claus debate in midwinter notes
Anxious residents discuss local governance and potential village incorporation while political tensions surface over leadership and public works. A separate letter to Rev. Lyman Abbott on Santa Claus follows, urging gentle parenting and preserving childhood imagination amid modern doubts.
