Sanitary Night at Frederick Aldermen Meeting Focuses on Hog Issue
At the May monthly meeting Mayor Fraley and Aldermen heard Dr. Ira J. McCurdy urge putting the hog pens issue to a public vote under the 1908 legislature. He blasted local slaughterhouses, urged water chlorination and sewer traps, and warned state health rules. Board offered little reaction, with no action taken on submitting the hogs question to voters.
